Serbian 701 — remembering, in the case Serbian insists on.
Sećati se takes the genitive, always. English remembers something; Serbian remembers of something, and the case does the work that of does in English. Drop the case and the sentence stops meaning what you wanted.

Watch ručak. It has a fugitive A, so the genitive is ručka, not "ručaka" — the same thing that happens to petak → petka and momak → momka.
The adjectives follow along, and they take the long genitive ending -og in the masculine: svog najboljeg profesora. Two things there. Najbolji is a soft stem, so it ends in -eg rather than -og — the same softening you met with loš → lošeg. And svog, not tvog: the subject is ti, so the possessive turns into svoj. English simply says your, which is why this one takes practice.
Finally, sećati se is imperfective — the remembering goes on. Its perfective partner is setiti se: Setio sam se! is the moment it comes back to you.
